Acupuncture has been effectively used for the treatment of back pain, headache, migraine, and sports injuries.  However, acupuncture provides more than pain relief.  It is helpful in treating anxiety, insomnia, digestive problems, abdominal and menstrual cramps, weight control, infertility, and much, much more. With certain health conditions, acupuncture can be effective enough to reduce or eliminate the need to take drugs to control pain or symptoms.  Often used as a form of preventative medicine, acupuncture is beneficial in preventing illness from occurring.  Many people receive acupuncture without suffering from any particular malady or ailment. Treatment strengthens general constitution and can correct a feeling of being unwell although there is no physical disorder, imbalance or illness in the traditional western medicine sense.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Are your features tired, your eyes baggy and your skin without luster?  Have you thought about cosmetic surgery?  Cosmetic acupuncture is for you! The freedom from post-treatment downtime and the experience of enhanced vitality contribute to the ever-increasing popularity of this Asian art. You may find that cosmetic acupuncture is the perfect partner in your quest for rejuvenation and renewal.  This is more than just a cosmetic procedure.  It is a rejuvenation and revitalization process designed to help the whole body look and feel younger.  As an added benefit, cosmetic acupuncture can increase your natural energy.  Insomnia may be corrected and weight gain may be controlled.  Cosmetic acupuncture is, after all, a whole-body treatment. In this traditional Chinese medicine view, a person's face is affected selectively by his or her internal organs. Facial features reflect organic strengths and as internal organs are fortified, one's face reflects the improvement.  A study in The Journal of Clinical Acupuncture shares that, with cosmetic acupuncture, 90% of clients have marked improvement in their faces and experience overall rejuvenation that is not confined to the face. This is a good reason to call cosmetic acupuncture procedures “anti-aging treatments”. They affect your overall health in a positive way. You will look and feel younger.  In some ways, you will actually be younger because your energetic systems will be working better. Your outward beauty and youthful appearance will be the result of inner fitness.

Men and women in their 20s-30s can use this procedure as a natural way to prevent aging. Individuals over 40 can use it to erase 5-10 years of aging!

Anti-aging acupuncture is less expensive, healthier and safer than the modern treatments. It's virtually risk free and there are none of the side effects of face lift surgery, lasers and injections like numbness, scarring and lengthy recovery time. Your face will never look stretched, burned, puffy or “banded”.

Corrective Exercises

At All About Health, we teach our patients how to perform special "blueprint" exercises which can help strengthen and correct the irregularities in their body which may be causing pain. Many of these corrective exercises can actually be performed in the comfort of your own home to help improve the effectiveness of your chiropractic care and spinal correction plan. In addition to skeletal misalignment, you may be experiencing pain that is caused by muscles and connective tissues which are out of their proper place. Other types of pain such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches are caused by muscles and tissues that are being used improperly, causing injuries over time. In each case, targeted corrective exercises and stretches from our experienced chiropractor will help you feel good while also helping your body achieve balance and health.

Lifestyle Advice

Many of our patients come to see our chiropractor to address a specific pain symptom such as back pain, neck pain or headaches. While our chiropractor will address each patient's specific condition with chiropractic care, we often find it helpful to "coach" our patients towards achieving a healthier lifestyle. For example, there may be certain activities that you should avoid or do differently to prevent yourself from unintentionally aggravating your particular health challenges. The goal of including lifestyle advice with a chiropractic care plan is to help each and every patient achieve the fulfilling and happy lifestyle they deserve, one that is full of the activities that are enjoyed most. We recognize that every single one of our patients is a whole person, and we use our expertise to help them reach total health and wellness.

Nutritional Counseling

What does nutrition have to do with chiropractic care? The goal of chiropractic care is to help patients achieve total health and balance with their body, and as part of that goal we provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices. Nutritional counseling by our experienced chiropractic health professionals can assist a patient on their return to optimal health. Do you know which supplements and vitamins are good for you? Do you know how these supplements and vitamins interact with one another? At our White House chiropractic clinic, we can provide each patient with a structured nutritional program that is based on their individual needs.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy does more than make you feel good, it can actually help your body achieve balance and health. Massage therapy offers a natural  treatment approach which actually relieves musculoskeletal pain for many patients. Our chiropractic office provides specific massage and muscular therapy that is complimentary to their chiropractic care. Each massage therapy plan is tailored to meet the patient's unique pain condition or injury. The benefits of massage therapy may include the increase of blood circulation, a localized reduction in swelling and the relaxation of muscles. Massage has been known to relieve muscle pain and spasms, increase a patient's range of motion, while also aiding in a patient's recovery. Some investigative studies have even indicated that a single session of massage may help boost your immune system!

  • An Apple a Day . . .

What is so good about an apple? Is it the color, ranging from ruby red to pale pink? Is it the crunch? The sweetness? Or is it, instead, a combination of all of these qualities, plus the natural goodness derived from the apple's secret ingredients — phytonutrients? If this were a multiple choice quiz, the answer would be "all of the above". Importantly, in addition to possessing numerous appealing physical qualities, apples contain an abundance of health-promoting biochemicals known as phytonutrients.1,2 These specific organic molecules are derived not only from apples but many other fresh fruits and vegetables, and help power the immune system, protect against cancer, maintain healthy eyes, and assist cells in clearing out metabolic waste products such as free radicals. ...
